Life in the Fish Bowl

I have previously talked about getting exposure in earlier posts  in order to acquire new ways of thinking and ideals when it comes to your future and life in general. My idea of “Life in the Fish Bowl” is addressing the small town mentality or “stick to my own” way of living. Weather you choose to stay within the walls of your small town without venturing out, or have a set group of friends and acquaintances, refusing to meet new people limits your possibilities for discovering your calling in life. You know, that special moment where you get exposed to that “thing” that your great at.

It boils down to people. People will get you where you want to go in this world. When you discover something new in your life it was most likely introduced to you through another person in some form or fashion. Be it at an event, through email, or various other means of communicating. Yet the “Fish Bowl” limits who you are exposed to, and the people in the outside world who are waiting to change your life. Check out my previous post “Your Eureka Moment, I Got It” to see how you can come up with new awesome ideas to help you achieve your dreams by utilizing the interactions with the people around you.

“You can’t want what you have never been exposed to” – emdoozie

This principle holds true all throughout life. In the “Fish Bowl” once you have gained all the knowledge and influence from the people in your social circle your growth is complete. If you live a life of constant evolution and meeting new types of friends and acquaintances you will continue to grow and be exposed to new things. Using the techniques I spoke about in “You Eureka Moment…” this constant flow of new people in your life can lead you directly to that “thing” that makes your dreams a reality.

Get out, meet new people, join new clubs and organizations and let yourself be influenced and exposed to what is unknown in your life. Take that last point with a grain of salt though, based upon your upbringing, values, and morals you will have to filter things out from time to time. I’m sure you know the dangers of bad influences. Everyone doesn’t mean well unfortunately. Usually if “something” (your guardian angel) tells you, “this feels wrong”, it probably is.

Live the doozieLife you deserve it!
