Yard work is a blessing, to those who love it

It was fricking hot today, when I decided to go out and do some much needed yard work. Here in Florida when that heat and humidity starts kicking in high gear it gets ruff! I swear I was getting delusional out there. Sort of reminded me of the conditions when I used to play football and have two-a-day summer practices. But on the other side when your done it’s a great feeling of satisfaction. Specially after that good cold shower followed by a large glass of Kool-Aid or nearly frozen Beer LOL! By the wat that’s totally not my house in the picture, my dream home is Sorrento LOL.

As much as I hate lawn maintenance it has to be done when you own a home or any property, and there are many people who love to do it, its even therapeutic for them. My father loves it so much his life could be spent grooming his lawn/garden and lounging by the pool. I also have a good friend who loves gardening and the outdoors. He now owns a successful landscaping company after deciding engineering in Corporate America was not his cup of tea. There’s a good example of turning what you love into your career.

To me lawn maintenance is that dreaded time of the week when I know I have to do battle with mother nature. Yet for others, it’s a joy and blessing which provides wealth, satifaction, and ultimately dreams realized. Look all around you, if you have a passion for something others hate doing, it may be your business waiting to come alive. There is always an opportunity to build a career doing work for others when they would much rather pay someone then do it themselves.
