Dreamers, prepare for the next cycle of prosperity…

There is no need to mention that we are in a strange time with global recession rumors, bailouts, failing stock markets, and many other not so good news around the globe. Don’t worry, I don’t look to reinforce the negative things that are going on right now, instead I rather focus on what lies on the other side of our so called “economic crisis”.

In history every economy has gone through cycles. Cycles of massive prosperity and cycles of extreme lack and scarcity. What I am trying to focus my energy and hopes on is the next wave of prosperity. So here are a few questions I ask myself when thinking about this.

• Are you ready for the next wave of prosperity?
• What are you currently doing to set yourself up to prosper?
• Are you following your dreams and aspirations, or playing it safe?
• Are you learning the necessary skills to assist you in your goals?
• Are you focusing on things your passionate about and enjoy doing?
• Most importantly, do you believe you can prosper, and if so how?

These are just some of the questions that come to mind for me when evaluating myself and my readiness to take advantage of the good times when they do come again. I don’t have time to focus on how bad things are and trying to “wait out the storm”. If you just wait out the storm, when it’s over your opportunity may have passed as well. I believe you have to be in (and stay in) action in the midst of the storm, and once things begin to break and that prosperity begins to flow, you will be ready for it.
