OK I’m exited! The secret cloak and black box we call credit reporting has now been opened and brought into transparency for us all. It’s called Credit Karma, the sweetest tool I have ever seen when it comes to credit. I was introduced to this tool while reading Yielding Wealth as they discussed the credit management guessing game. Before when contemplating credit specific purchases or decisions you had to guess and hope for the best.

Now with Credit Karma you can obtain your current credit score and project how certain types of transactions will affect it using their simulator. And it’s free! All types of transactions can be simulated including increased credit limits, paying off debt, forclosure, banruptcy, and late payments to name a few. Simulate how all issues affect your credit before they ever happen. As I see it, this helps me stay away from bonehead decisions in the future. I signed up yesturday and found it very easy to use. We all know how important credit is to our future and how it affects all of these dreams and goals we look to achieve. With tools like Credit Karma we can begin to make better desicions conserning our credit, which will allow us to “wield our credit like a Hanzo Sword to slice away at dream after dream…” A Kill Bill reference, YES!
